The FCC is considering lifting the “Net Neutrality” rules that prevent the large corporations from make some online content easy to access and other online content difficult to access.
The way things are now, the giant companies like Comcast that own all the hardware are not allowed to show any preference. They have to provide equal access to all content online.
OPEN MEDIA and the ELECTRONIC FRONTIER FOUNDATION have joined up with companies like SKYPE, GOOGLE and FACEBOOK to levy opposition to the new change in rules.
